The Somero Laser Screed establishes grade by laser, disperses concrete by auger, vibrates and consolidates the concrete. The console mounted computer maintains grade with laser precision and monitors the screed elevation at a rate of 5 times per second. As you can see from the graphs above, the variance in flatness of the Laser Screeded floor is just 0.25 inches over a length of 50 feet. The variance in flatness of the manually screeded floor approaches 0.75 inches.
